The Ag Division members and associate members were convinced of the need to continue to promote of Dade County agriculture.  This led to the birth of the Dade County AGRI Council.
Tours were first conducted by the Ag Division of the Dade County Chamber of Commerce, starting in 1963.  These were continued by the newly formed Dade County AGRI Council, Inc., starting in 1968.
HISTORY The Dade County AGRI Council, Inc. was established in 1968 by  members and associate members of the Agricultural Division of the Dade County Chamber of Commerce. The Ag Division of the Chamber was a self supporting division, and through annual barbecues held at Boyd Dairy, monies were raised for agricultural scholarships. But, when the Dade Chamber of Commerce was reorganized as the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in 1967, the Ag Division was not included.
